1. Start with the base

Start with ingredients that have high water content, such as cucumber, celery, cabbage or romaine lettuce.

2. Add more greens

Leafy greens add more nutrients to your juice. Mix in some kale, collard greens, spinach, Swiss chards and leafy herbs like parsley, mint, cilantro and the like. However, these are only great to add if you use slow juicers, because fast centrifugal juicers can’t juice them just right.

3. Add more veggies

Add some more veggies that are filling and are naturally sweet like carrots, sweet potatoes, beets and butternut squash.

4. Add fruits as sweeteners

No need to add sugars in a green juice, you just need some fruits. It’s best to just add a small amount of fruits like apples, pineapples, grapefruit, lemon, oranges and watermelon.

5. Add extras

To make your juice even better, you can add some natural flavorings like ginger, turmeric, garlic and even aloe vera.
