And it is no wonder why rabbits are a great part of children’s books. These books are geared towards tiny humans. The first rabbit that comes into the minds of almost all of us isLewis Carroll’s albino bunny from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

We all know how he sparked Alice’s journey in wonderland. It is an early example of a rabbit character in texts specifically for a young audience. Similarly, another very famous example of a bunny character on TV for almost all of us is ‘Bugs Bunny’ from Looney Tunes Cartoon Series.

Other illustrators have also invested rabbits and hares in different manner and traits. There is no chance of anyone saying that he has not seen or read bunny movies, cartoons, or books. They are a visible part of everyone’s childhood, no matter what generation they belong to. There have been many moral stories about rabbits we all have heard from our grandparents, such as ‘Slow and Steady Wins the Race.’

Rabbits Are a Part of Children’s Literature

Rabbits are universally popular in children’s literature. They are certainly popular British children’s fiction; for example, they appear prominently in AA Milne’s POOH books, Alison Utley’s Little Grey Rabbit Series, Ivy Wallace’s ‘Pookie’ Series, Richard Adams’s Water ship down, and last but not least, Beatrix Potter’s tales. These books’ context and storylines are different, but they all include bunnies as part of their story characters.
