We had a ton of sunshine here- rare for us, especially this time of year.
Lily & I decided to go buy some sweet new rides for her & Ayden. The Barbie scooter ended up kind of sucking (and she said her brother’s was “faster”) so we took it back and got her a matching pink one instead.
These little things say they go up to 140lbs, so I figured why not? Even I got on and zipped around on it. And you know what? I kinda want my own! I bet I’d look freaking awesome riding around on one of these bad boys too- haha.
We played around with them for most of the day, both of us anxiously waiting for Ayden to get home. He had no idea we were getting scooters so we surprised him and waited for him as he got off the school bus. He jumped off the bus beaming, ran over to me, threw his arms around me and said “Best mom ever.” I love doing stuff like that.
Ayden got to go see Iron Man 3 with his dad. It’s their tradition to see all of their “guy movies” like that together and they almost always do the midnight showings. He loves getting to stay up late (usually on a school night-lucky kid!) and go to the movie with dad. He also loves being the first one out of his friends to see it, since none of the other kids’ parents take them to the midnight showing on the premiere night. Bonus dad points for Shayne.
And finally, daddy accidentally backed over Lily’s bike. I guess parking it behind his truck was a bad idea. Some part on it is completely bent and needs to be replaced, but other than that it’s just a little scuffed up on the seat and grips. I think we learned a lesson here: it’s all mommy’s fault. Classic!
