Weekend Wrap Up

It’s time for my Weekend Wrap Up and highlight for The Pinspiration Project.
We’ve decided to do away with the top 3 and just go with the #1 most popular project linked up and each of the hosts’ favorites. We’re keeping it simple!
The most popular one this week was:
Wendi from Scrappy Day in Paradise for her Mexican Shepherd’s Pie
After reading Wendi’s post I think I’m going to have to give this one a try. After all, I do love me some Mexican food!
My favorite from this week was:
Ngnrdgrl for her Pinspired Paper Roses.
I really loved this one because I’m fascinated by paper flowers! I’ve seen people recently do paper flower bouquets and stuff for their weddings and they are absolutely gorgeous! If you’ve never seen them just Google “paper wedding bouquets” and check out some of the amazing images that pop up. I sure wish that would have been in style when I had my wedding.
Great job ladies! Make sure to grab a feature button, and thanks for linking up everyone.

Don’t forget to check out my lovely co-hosts Amber and Sarah’s favorites from this week too. If you don’t already follow them, you should! They are awesome.

Another week of The Pinspiration Project starts on Tuesday, so if you have a crafty project, recipe, beauty trick, cleaning tip,  or any kind of DIY project that you’ve been inspired by on Pinterest, come link up with us!
I shared my Gel Nail tutorial
I hosted another week of Things I {don’t}Love
I checked in on my New Year’s Resolutions
My blog friend Julie did a guest post talking about a topic close to her heart.
I finished 2 books and finally broke out of my reading rut.
This book is awesome, by the way. I went in to it knowing absolutely nothing about the plot of the movie to sway my opinion of the book. I read it in one sitting on Friday afternoon!
Ayden got to ditch school and the kids spent the whole day with my parents looking for bald eagles near our house.
My husband and I finally started watching Downton Abbey! 4 episodes in  and I’m already hooked. It’s so hard not to watch them all while he’s at work. By the time he gets home I’m about ready for bed and can barely make it through and episode.
I made the kids Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast over the weekend. This is something my dad always did for us growing up and my kids love it. My dad is such a pro that he can actually make Minnie Mouse pancakes, bow included. Now that’s some pancake skill!
On Sunday there was a Walking Dead season 1 marathon. I can’t wait for the new episodes to start next week! I hadn’t watched the first season in a while so it was cool seeing how it all started again.
Remember this? I hadn’t watched the first season in a while so it was cool seeing how it all started.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
