It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for another week of The Pinspiration Project.
We’ve decided to change things up a little bit to make it a little simpler and less time consuming for Amber, Sarah, & I. The three of us agreed that we were all getting a little stressed out with blogging, so we’re doing away with the voting and the TPP Queen. We will still be doing the linky party exactly the same way, but instead of doing our weekly top 3 and monthly voting we will just be doing a weekly feature with the #1 most clicked and each of our personal favorites from the week. Mine will go up with my Weekend Wrap Up.
The rules are simple, link up your Pinterest inspired projects. Make sure you follow Amber & Sarah’s blogs too, and grab a button to add to your post or sidebar.
Here’s my “pin”-spiration:
This pin claims that you can soak apple slices in either salt water, lemon juice, ginger ale, or Sprite/7up to keep them from browning.
And here’s my version:
I didn’t have any clear soda and I was almost out of lemon juice, so I opted for the salt water bath. I used my apple slicer (if you don’t have one, get one!) and soaked them for about 5 minutes while I tidied up the kitchen. Then I rinsed them off quickly and stored them in a ziplock bag. The next day we were able to enjoy apple slices with lunch and as a snack without them being all brown. This is perfect and I’m going to do this from now on because having fresh apple slices in the fridge is so convenient with little kids in the house. It’s a quick and easy snack that they can get by themselves, and it makes choosing a healthy snack much easier with these all ready to go!
Now it’s your turn.
Link up your crafty creation below, whether it be a DIY project, a recipe, a beauty trick, a decorating idea, or even just a list of projects you hope to finish someday soon (don’t we all). Grab a button, be social, and check out the other link ups! It’s a lot of fun and you can meet some really awesome people, follow some new blogs, and find some great projects all at the same time.Make sure to follow us on Twitter and use the hashtag #ThePinspirationProject to spread the Pinterest love.
