My favorite fall/winter coffee drink- Caramel Brulee Latte

It’s that time of year!
Time to warm up and refuel with coffee all day every day.
Oh wait, that’s every day for me. Regardless of the time of year or weather outside, I have to have my coffee fix every morning…and usually afternoon as well.
Let’s get one thing straight- I am not a Starbucks fan. Not even a little bit. (Can we still be friends?!) I mean, sure, I’ll drink it if it’s my only option, but it’s definitely not my first choice for coffee by a long shot. It’s pretty overpriced and bitter in my opinion, and no matter how much extra syrup or extra chocolate I ask for it still hints of burnt coffee. No bueno!
However, this time of year they always lure me in with their holiday drinks, namely the delicious, mouthwatering Caramel Brulee Latte. I’ve been counting down the days since October started and it’s finally here. The only problem is my wallet can’t handle spending $4.50+ on a cup of coffee every day. And if I’m spending that much on coffee I definitely don’t want to gamble on whether or not my barista is competent enough to make the drink correctly. The only thing worse than paying almost 5 bucks for coffee is to then have it taste like crap after you leave.

I treated myself to this on a long Sunday after grocery shopping.
$4.95 & it only slightly tasted like caramel brulee- what a let down!

My solution? Make it at home yourself.
I posted this recipe last year and it was a huge hit on Pinterest.
{Follow me- I’m awesome}

1. Drizzle 2 Tbsp caramel sauce around inside of mug
2. Add 1-2oz of Torani vanilla syrup
3. Add 2-4oz espresso or strongly brewed coffee
4. Fill the rest of the mug with about 8-10oz of steamed milk.
5. Top with whipped cream & toffee bits (not pictured- optional)
Stir & enjoy!
The only thing missing from this is the whipped cream and the yummy little toffee bits. If you’re feeling fancy, go for it. I try to lay off the whipped cream and toffee when I’m making this every day though.
Are you a coffee lover?
